The is a true classic with a fresh hot pink twist, or dare we say it McTwist. Originally released in 1984, the Powell Peralta McGill Skull and Snake Reissue Skateboard Deck in hot pink is landing soon. Oddly enough, this is the same year Mike McGill invented the McTwist. The board measures in at 30.125″ x 10″ and has a wheelbase of 16.625″.
The profile of this deck is a Spoon Nose III. It has a spoon nose kicktail with slight concave. This is the shape the OG Bones Brigade decks came from which have a mellow concave and kick.
The original artwork for this deck was done by the legendary VCJ (Vernon Courtlandt Johnson). With Skull and Bones proving popular at the time, Mike wanted some lightning bolts and a snake added as there’s plenty of both in his home state of Florida. And the result is iconic to say the least.
Note that this deck is not yet available in stores, either in Australia or overseas at the time of writing (17/9/21). It is coming soon however, so be sure to snap one up. If this one moves as quickly as any other McGill Skull and Snake Reissue, it won’t be sticking around long at all. We suggest you place a preorder with your local skate shop, or even buy direct from the USA. If they do hit the shelves in Australia we’ll keep you informed with which shops and at what prices they are available for.
